I went with Bert Kops and his fighters to an event in Houwaart boxing gym, The Hague.
I photographed the kickboxers and MMA fighters, but not only in the ring.
Wrapping hands, preparing the skin with Vaseline, training in the shower and hallway ‘cause there’s not enough space for everyone, the fight and intensity during rest between rounds and the result of cutting your hand wraps after a win (or defeat with honour!).
Not a romantic story like the movies, but real dedication and effort to become a legend.
